SEE & DO

Nardo

Nardò is a lively town in every season, located on the Salento peninsula, the heel of Italy's boot. Off the beaten tourist track, Nardò has remained true to itself, which is particularly evident in Piazza Salandra, when the locals crowd the baroque piazza in the evenings.

In the immediate vicinity of Nardó are Lecce, Otrano, Gallipoli, and the protected coastal area of Porto Selvaggio. The Ionian Sea, 6 km away, is easily accessible by car, Vespa, or bicycle. The Salento region offers a variety of recreational activities, such as swimming, sailing, golf, hiking, and cycling, as well as diverse cultural treasures and a rich culinary offering, a wide variety of wines, and ancient olive groves.
